Forty years worth of wilderness mad,
drives Caleb to warfare and attitude bad;
as his heart was torn by desert forlorn,
and bodies of brothers dropped at his feet.
Faith spurred by solar heat and defeat;
of not even trying. Forty years of grief
and crying as Holy purges fear of the unknown,
appetites for Egypt and comfortable homes.
Approach to Most High God, one of distrust;
chosen peoples disguised sins and attitudes to adjust.
Promise of fruitful bounty dried on sand,
unfaithful lips talk about promised land;
but refuse to cross over to gain.
The barking dog has seethed because of vain,
and Joshua refuses to leave Gods side;
for both faithful men yearn to reside;
in the land of fulfilled promise.
Times like these land upon us,
and demand we take a stand;
one which places us in disfavor,
not a place a wise man savors;
but nonetheless, an embarkation toward change.
Exact demands, one house rearranged;
to provide suffering blood, hot with rage;
that propels a nomad people to lifes new page,
and the dropping of unworthy affections.
The wandering in desert asserts clear direction;
one of obedience, hence; Calebs biting.
He looks at a land from afar, in which he should be abiding.
Mistakes made shall not be repeated.
Caleb is not interested in being defeated:
again.
